Students will learn to build a picture frame and cut mat board. During this class Michaela will teach you how to build a frame from prepared wood and to professionally mat your own photo or 2D piece of art: 4x6 or 5x7 inches. Take home a finish frame or give it as a gift for the upcoming holidays. Students should bring a 4x6 or 5x7 inch photo or 2D art work.

Louis will introduce you to the most common tools in the shop and assure you understand how to operate each of them safely. You will also learn the essentials about wood grain and movement as you move through the milling process.
