Turning a Decorative Wooden Snowman on the Lathe

This fun project is a great way to learn the fundamentals of woodturning while making a decoration you'll enjoy for years to come. You'll learn how to shape multiple spheres, form decorative details, create clean transitions, and achieve a smooth finish. Epoxy River Table (2 Part Class)

Part 1: Sunday, September 13, 2026, 1 PM - 5 PM

Part 2: Sunday, September 20, 2026, 12 PM - 5 PM

This is a 2 part class, All students attend both dates. Tuition includes the 1st & 2nd date. In this class students will be introduced to the process of making an epoxy river table, including mold construction, slab preparation, and epoxy pouring. Several different epoxy options will be discussed, along with dye and dust coloring. In part one, students will build the mold, cut and treat the slab, and pour the river. In part two, students will be instructed on how to prepare their river table for an epoxy top coat using several power tools such as the table saw, jointer, various sanders, and router table. After preparing, the top coat will be poured and projects would be ready for pickup in about a day. ***If a class is Sold Out, call the store at 717-409-8173 & ask to be put on the waitlist!***

Build A Five Board Bench

Friday, September 18, 2026, 10 AM - 4 PM

Build a timeless wooden bench while learning essential woodworking skills in this hands-on class. Students will create a traditional Five Board Bench using shop tools including the table saw, planer, bandsaw, drill, and sanders. Throughout the class, students will learn material preparation, layout and measuring techniques, basic joinery, assembly, and sanding techniques. This project is ideal for beginners looking to build confidence in the woodshop while completing a functional piece of furniture to take home. Students will leave class with a bench ready to paint, stain, or finish to their personal preference.
