      Great plans

      I built this for my Grandkids using cherry.it turned out great. I took my time and worked on it when I felt like it and I hope it will be used by many family members for years to come.

      fun project, beautiful result

      Made for my future grandchildren. Beautiful result. Will be used by our family for generations. I purchased the recommended bearings for the rocking mechanism which were very good quality and allow the cradle to rock for 30 seconds with one push. I added an inlay monogram of our family name and plan to add name and birthdate on brass plate of each baby that uses the cradle.

      Easy to follow, came out beautiful. My great grandson or granddaughter will surely enjoy it!

      This is our first grandchild and I want to do something special for it.

      ODD expensive Mattress size

      While the cradle and instructions were fine - getting a mattress was not so easy. It seems a standard cradle mattress is 18 x 36. When the cradle is complete the mattress needs to be 17 x 30. A standard mattress costs about $20 this special size cost[$] Make the plans so that the cradle holds a standard size mattress.
