This African Ebony Marking Gauge is designed for accurate scoring across the grain without tearing. The 1/4" single-beveled cutting iron is held in place by a brass wedge, and a brass thumbscrew grips the sliding post securely. Solid African Ebony fence has two inlaid brass wear plates.
