The Woodpeckers SteadyCurve 2.0 Magnetic Bandsaw Template Guide is built for woodworkers who use pattern routing to produce consistent, repeatable parts and want faster, more controlled rough cutting at the band saw. It guides the work just outside the template line so the router removes the final material, not the bandsaw blade.
SteadyCurve 2.0 functions like the bearing on a flush-trim bit, but instead of cutting to the pattern, it maintains a controlled offset from the template. That offset is adjustable from nearly flush up to 1/4", allowing you to leave exactly the amount of material needed for clean flush‑trim routing. Once positioned, the magnetic base locks to the band saw table with a single lever, holding the guide securely without clamps or hardware.
Template followers ride against the template as you cut, allowing you to focus on a smooth feed through curves instead of tracking a drawn line. The thermo-polymer followers will not damage blades and are replaceable when worn. Vertical adjustment accommodates material from 1/4" up to 4" thick.
SteadyCurve 2.0 works with any band saw that has a cast iron or steel table and at least 12" of throat clearance, with or without a table extension. It supports shop‑made and commercial templates made from plywood, MDF or plastic and uses the same attachment methods commonly used for router templates. Keeping the template in place from rough cut through routing eliminates unnecessary setup steps and keeps parts consistent from start to finish.
