Woodworking Project Paper Plan to Build Colonial Bed
Details
The authentic beds, made between 1790 and 1800, were especially popular in Virginia. Now, you can make your own. Turning the posts and spindles will delight or use square or tapered legs along with purchased spindles. Each headpost is to be turned in two sections so it can be handled by the average home lathe turner. Both twin and full size beds are detailed by the plan; either is 39" high.
All joinery is shown in actual size, curved workpieces are all in full size and you can measure and trace straight from the drawing. Also includes bill of materials/cutting list, detailed exploded diagram, and hardware requirements list.
NOTE: The exploded diagram is so detailed that project specific assembly instructions are not provided.
