Details

Sirari Rosewood (Guibourtia hymenaeifolia) is a hard dense hardwood that has a straight grain and a medium to fine uniform texture. Its orange to pinkish-brown color tends to darken and redden as it ages. Sirari Rosewood is a very strong wood that machines and turns well with sharp tools. It is worth noting that Sirari is not a true Rosewood (Dalbergia genus); it is more closely related to Bubinga. South America.
Due to the nature of wood movement, shrinkage and expansion are possible. Please measure each piece carefully before starting any project.
Wood is a product of nature, and as such, no two pieces are alike to start with, while the same wood growing in different locales can vary greatly even though it is the exact same species.
