Bring rich color and dramatic grain to your next project with Argentinian Osage Orange (Maclura tinctoria). Known for its golden-orange hue, this South American variety tends to retain its color over time. The heartwood features contrasting bands of lighter and darker grain. Heavy, dense and stable, the wood has a fine to medium texture. While its hardness can make it challenging to work, it remains surprisingly easy on cutting tools. Osage Orange turns well, finishes beautifully and polishes to a deep, natural luster. Commonly used for furniture, woodturning and fine specialty items. This slab measures 1-1/4" x 15" x 48" and is surfaced on both sides.
