The grain is typically straight, although it can occasionally exhibit slight interlocking or irregular patterns. It is generally easy to work with, showcasing a medium to coarse uniform texture. It turns and finishes well and possesses a low natural luster. This species is native to Southeast Asia, particularly in India.
