Another excellent Whiteside product
If you are looking at this bit, you probably already know about Whiteside quality. What I really love about this is how easy it is to use in a router table. My router table is as simple as it gets: a plywood board with the router mounted underneath. I use a straight Oak board for a fence and clamp that to the table. Despite this low-tech cheapo set-up, this bit produces superb cut quality. The resulting glue-joint makes carcass assembly MUCH easier. Everything seems to 'click' into place and stay there politely while I get clamps on. This precision-engineered bit is definitely worth the money and then some.One important tip here: it REALLY helps to use a zero-clearance fence-board. It only takes a minute to do and DRAMATICALLY reduces tear-out at the cut-exit, especially in chip-prone material like Birch plywood.[...]
