These are outstanding!
These hinges are amazingly well made. They are worth every penny. I mortised them in with a fisch 35mm fornsner bit. I took a lot of pictures. I will be glad to offer them for free to woodcraft to help others. I experienced shipping mixups but at the last moment woodcraft stepped in and solved the problem. These are outstanding hinges that will make you feel very satisfied with the cost. Vertex Round hinges
Hinges on jewelery boxes can make or break the whole project. This hinge has a built in stop that really makes the finished product complete. The use of a Forstner bit can make it a simple install but there are some important tricks to follow to make it work right. I found a collective of steps to follow that were very important. Use the Forstner in a drill press but only turn the bit by hand!! It's fast and easy but if you use power, you will screw it up. About an eighth of an inch from the box divide for the center spur-- but get this exact. Tape the box tight and clamp it secure. Fussy-- but worth the effort. Once you do one set, you will see how fast it really is. I like the heavy screws but make sure your stock is not too thin or the screw will go through.(OUCH) Don't drill your recess too deep. I gave it 5 stars because it is the cleanest install of hinges that I have ever done.
