Don't buy this!
It's a great dea. It'd be even better if you could actually draw a line on the short side. That side is only 1/8, maybe 3/16" for marking right at the edge. Maybe with a 500 watt light you can see to mark.

After owning one I wouldn' t be without
I use the sguare for a lot of layout work. Accurate marking makes assembly much easier. My recent purchase is for a gift for a young woodworker. I wanted to give him something which I use myself and value highly.

Simple, sturdy, and very, very useful
Any saddle square will quickly become a go-to marking instrument. This one is typically excellent Veritas quality. Strong and accurate. An extra value for framing work, the open center lets you line up on center marks and draw the outline of your 2 x 4 on the two sides without moving. A solid value.

A Square Deal
