The revolutionary LEIGH VRS (vacuum and router support) is the ultimate waste control and router support for your LEIGH dovetail jig. The router is positioned between the adjustable control arms that are fitted to suite any size router base and attached to the vacuum chute below. The vacuum chute glides effortlessly from side to side on nylon rollers and automatically follows the router when routing the joint or when the router is parked off to the side. The chute is always in the perfect position to catch the chips being thrown out by the high-speed router bit action. Chips and sawdust are drawn into the vacuum chute and down through the vacuum hose. It comes complete with two adaptors to fit all popular vacuum hose sizes from 1" to 2-1/2". All mounting hardware is included. It can be used with a small shop vacuum or large dust collection system. Easily attaches without jig modification.

    Worth it

    If you do more than couple drawers it's worth the price. Had just started doing 26 drawers and decided it was time to get one. Wish I would have bought this year's ago. No more shavings up your long sleeve shirt sleeves, 1/8 the mess on the floor. The only thing to remember is to blow the slide track out every once and a while.

    It works!

    This attachment works, I have the original 12" model so I had to cut to length. The old model had a vacuum system build in but it was not effective. Another great upgrade from Leigh. Dan

    It does what it says it will do.

    The real thing. Well engineered and does all the things it is supposed to do.

    Attachment really sucks

    After years of using other jigs and eating end grain particles while routing dovetails the VRS for our new D4R Pro is like heaven it removes nearly all chips and debris it also supports the router giving you less fatigue while routing multiple work pieces. I would recommend using a high quality paste wax not only on the bottom of your router but also both sides of your jig fingers and the top of the support surface. The vacuum attachment runs on teflon rollers in a track under the support bar and does not attach to the router but slides effortlessly as you push the router along the bar. The support installs very easily and is extremely easy to use. I feel that my Leigh D4R Pro would not be complete without the support vac system.     Great product, much better than expected

    I bought this product to put on my DR4. Keeping my work shop clean is critical to other production processes, this product captured at least 95% of related debris. This product should be standard equipment when purchasing a Leigh dovetail jig. It makes the operation of the entire system much safer. Having owned and operated a 100 person metal manufacturing business, I know a good thing when I see and use it. This is the first time I have ever written a review for any product, but that's how strongly I believe in the Leigh vacuum and router support. Put it on your wish list, better yet, buy it!
