really good stuff
I'm currently building a rather radical workbench, with a top 8 feet long, 3" thick, laminated from 3 layers of 3/4" cabinet grade plywood with a 4th layer, top surface panel of 3/4" red oak boards that were glued together for the panel. The benchtop is 2 panel sections, each 12" wide. Spreading the glue, aligning the panels and then applying almost 2 dozen clamps to each section, was quite a job. I had decided to use the Extend glue, to give myself the extra work time that it has, plus the lower temperature operating range that it has. My shop isn't heated, so with the glue being able to withstand the 40 degree temps was a real benefit. Excepting for the longer set times, I can't say that I noticed a difference in how the glue behaved from the other Titebond products that I normally use. The oak panel boards went together easily as did the plywood panels. The parts are strong and stable with no gaps at the seams. Squeeze out was easily cleaned up as were my scrapers and hands, clamps, floor, etc. I really like this glue and will continue to use it on any complicated glue-up that I have in the future. It's really nice not having to work at a frantic pace to get the pieces together and clamped.
