Every woodworker looks for that one project that he or she can make in a day or mass produce for welcomed gifts. If that describes you, you’re in luck. This pleasing design consists of just four different interlocking parts that assemble like Lincoln Logs. While I’ll work through the construction for a two-rack system for holding up to 12 bottles, keep in mind that you can build and stack several identical racks. Five racks, the maximum, let you store as many as 30 bottles. You will be able to download the pdf file from the Thank You page or from the Downloadable Product Email once your order is placed. Woodcraft Magazine's Classic™ Project Plans These plans are the "best of" the projects from Editors of Woodcraft Magazine. Each plan features step by step instructions with detail photographs, exploded illustrations for various project steps, a cut list and cutting diagram, and a Convenience Plus Buying Guide so you know exactly what supplies are required to complete the project. Whether you are a beginner or an accomplished woodworker, the Woodcraft Classic Plan series will have a plan for you!

      Great Wine Rack

I built this as shown in the original magazine article. I built this for a friend out of cherry to match an existing cherry table. Both he and his wife love it. The plans discuss a two row version (as shown) and a five row version (to be free standing). I chose to make this with 4 rows for wine, and on the fifth row I added two drawers to store things such as a wine opener. The wrack came out great, and it was very well received. The side portions are not "solid", which gives a much better look to the wine rack because you can see through them; very stylish. If you are looking for a wine rack, this is a great one.
