Utilizing a unique production process backed by 40 years of experience and top-grade materials, Pride has created water stones that are long lasting, fast cutting, leave a mirror finish and – “gasp” – are flat within .007 of an inch right out of the box. Stones should be soaked approximately 15 to 20 minutes prior to use or till they quit breathing or stop bubbling.

The 400-grit side of this stone is for taking out nicks, chips and when establishing a bevel. This is a good stone for cutlery to establish a new bevel or reestablish an old one. The 3000-grit side is the demarcation line between sharpening and honing. This is a great transition grit for woodworking tools before going into the higher grits or as a final edge on cutlery. Stone measures approximately 8" x 2-3/4" x 7/8".
