wish I had this a long time ago,it makes shapening HSS steel tools so much easier. thought the price was a little high, but then you want quality you have to pay the price, very pleased with the item.

Heavy Duty
I purchased this platform to sharpen plane irons and chisels on a 6 inch grinder. Have not used it yet because this thing is bigger and heavier than I thought it would be and need to figure out how to mount it. It is so big that in order to mount it I will have to place the grinder on some type of pedestal that this platform base can attach to. The platform is not adjustable vertically. Only the top piece swivels so the height is permanent once mounted. A bit of an overkill for a 6 inch grinder in my opinion, however, this platform will withstand heavy duty use and will last for years. I just wish it had a bit more adjustability.
