This micro-fine honing compound is ideal for providing the final mirror finish in the buffing and honing process. The green, aluminum/chromium oxide compound works particularly well with leather power strops and felt wheels operating at or below the 1750 RPM range. Use it to charge your leather bench strops for superior hand-honing of tools. The .5 micron particle size leaves the cutting edge of your plane irons, chisels, and carving tools razor sharp. It comes in a 20 oz. bar.

micro fine honing compound

I use it for my Leathercraft Swivel Knive, I rub some of this micro rouge on a business card and strop. The swivel knive will glide thru the vegetable tanned leather for carving. Wallets, belts, saddle skirting. This really change my carving. I also used it with a dremal tool with a small felt, on my swivel knive after I sharpened with a DMT stone. I purchased at the Albuquerque store.

mirror like cutting edges

For the final stropping of cutting edges tis green compound gives you a true mirror like sharp tool edge.
