Excellent for tools
I bought this to clean up my tools and some rust spots beginning on the pillar of my drill press. It works great. Just rub on the rust and you'll see things improve.

Sandflex Hand Block, Medium
I have both 2 versions of the block the Medium and the Coarse, I wish Woodcraft would also sell the Fine version. I've used the Medium to clean some older Stanley planes that I own and it nicely removes grunge and rust leaving the plane still nicely patinated IMHO. I also used the Coarse version to clean the rust off of a lathe bed in restoring.
