The Ford #4 viscosity cup is a valuable tool for swiftly assessing and measuring the viscosity or thickness of various materials before the spraying process.

This uncomplicated gravity-based tool allows users to accurately gauge the material's flow by timing how long it takes for the coating to pass through the submerged #4 Ford cup.

The timing starts the moment a stream begins to flow from the bottom of the cup after it is lifted from the material. Timing concludes as soon as the steady stream of material is disrupted. This time interval offers a clear indication of the material's viscosity.
