Great for shaping the bevel
I was wanting a coarse stone that I could use to reshape my bevels and flatten the backs of my tools and stones. I had been using coarse sand paper on glass but I was growing tired of buying paper and having to replace the sheets all the time. This stone does the job very well. Now that I have used it I am fine with the price. Its worth it.

I like this stone because it stays flat and can flaten other stones. It is also useful to change or repair an edge.
-
Its very fast
Its expensive but it will save you a hell of a lot of time sharpening. Does not leave as polished edge as the water stones but it gets close quick

It works great.
I've been using this diamond stone to true my waterstones and to flatten the backs of my chisels and plane blades. It handles both tasks with ease. This stone has helped me acheieve truly sharp edges for the first time.
