Sharpen, deburr, and hone in tight spaces such as circular saw blades or router bits, while keeping hands away from the sharp cutting edges. The offset design of the DMT® Dia-Sharp 2-1/2" Offset Diamond Mini-Hone Sharpener Kit offers better control for hard to reach areas. The uninterrupted monocrystalline diamond surface lets you quickly put a razor edge on pocket knives and small contact area tools. Coarse grit quickly restores a damaged edge; fine grit puts a keen edge on a regularly maintained edge; extra-fine polishes and refines a razor edge. 3 piece set contains one of each grit.

    Stop throwing away carbide inserts!

    The best use for these often goes unnoticed. If you use carbide insert lathe tools (easywood, etc) these will sharpen your inserts. Take of the insert, lay it upside down on the file with the flat part down and just rub it back and forth 5 or 6 times. You can get about a dozen sharpenings out of a single insert.

    Restore sharpness to Wood Working tools

    I use the hones to keep my Drill Press Forestner bits as well as my Parting and Skew cutters on my Wood Lathe in peak sharpness. After repeated use in hard woods my tools can loose their edge. With miminal effort I use the hones with water to restore sharpness.

    Very nice

    They are small, but that makes them handy for touching up a tools edge. The blade of my marking knife has benefited the most so far.

    Convenient sharpeners

    Good for sharpening and touchup of small knives. Too small for larger knives.
