Details

Behlen Water Base Grain Filler is designed to allow the professional or home craftsman to create a smooth, closed grain surface on open grain woods like oak, mahogany and cherry. It applies easily, levels smoothly, dries quickly (usually in 2 to 3 hours) and sands to a finishing grit smoothness. The grain filler accepts any Behlen water base stain or finish. Allow overnight dry time if using solvent base stains and finishes. Behlen Water Base Grain Filler is environmentally friendly since it is low in volatile organic compounds (VOCs), nonflammable, and cleans up with warm water and detergents. It is available in three grain enhancing shades. One quart.

  • Grain filler designed to produce a really smooth finish in open-pored woods
  • Stable for one year when stored in a cool dry place
  • Environmentally friendly
  • Allow overnight dry time if using solvent base stains and finishes

    AWFUL!

Previous neutral filler worked well and took dye for good finish. This filler in same brand will not take dye or stain. White filler cannot be sanded out without destroying the piece. Factory (RPM in Hickory, NC) did not respond to inquiry.

    It does what it says!

Dries very quickly so apply to small areas at a time.

    Terrible

I have used many grain fillers but by far this is the worst. I ruined a piece of work with this stuff that had taken a lot of time and work. Now I have to spend more time than building this piece to salvage the damage this grain filler did. The material stock is too expensive to throw away. I would never recommend this product to anybody.
