Homeowners have grown increasingly hands-on when it comes to improving their homes. Rather than call a contractor to do household projects like finishing an attic or basement, combining smaller rooms into larger areas or building/installing new cabinets, nowadays more and more homeowners act as their own “contractor” or handyman.
Holding up very well
I purchased about a dozen of these over 5 years ago. They are holding up very well and, for the most part, stay in place. You'll have to give them a kick from time to time to keep them in place, but other than that they are maintenance free. I take mine out once a year to wash them off and they still look like new. The paint shop is a different story, but no fault of the mats. I'm coming in for 8 more for the CNC as they are back on sale!
I bought four, two for the workshop and two for the kitchen. My wife and I are both very pleased with the mats. They have a tapered edge and we haven't had any tripping problems. They clean easily and make a big difference in our comfort when standing on tile or concrete floors. On sale the price for the mat is unbeatable IMHO. I recommend these to anyone.
For trash can and pet food bowls
Comfort in the shop
This product is great. I was impressed by the amount of cushion you get from a 3/8" thick mat. Good stuff.
"I would buy this product again and agai
excellent, the only problem is that my cat wants to live on and not let me work with freedom
I got 2 for my shop, My wife stole them for her studio. We ordered more, including one for the laundry room. Easy to clean, nice to work on.
I'm very pleased with this product. I bought 10 of them. They came rolled in two boxes (fiver per box). I pulled them out and spread them on the floor in the places I needed them. They laid flat immediately. Good cushion too. There has been noted a lot of complaints about the smell. I found no smell at all on any of the 10 I received. They went to immediate use. The only wish I had was that the dimensions were different. They come 2X5 foot. It would be nice if the width was 1/2 the length so that they could be configured side-by-side with one lengthwise at the ends of two shorter sides to cover a large area without any gap or irregularity.
Ahhhhhhhhh, feels so good!!
Unroll, lay on floor, simple
Good size for in front of workbench. Excellent anti-fatigue
Good product Would recommend to others
in front of my workbench, table saw ,jointer planer
I would give this five star, but haven't given it the test of time yet. I purchased three mats and will likely get more. Surface sawdust is easy to clean with a broom sweep. Cushioning is about right. Too much cushion can create a stability problem. And, they seem to stay in place fairly well.
soft under foot
husband uses these in the work shop. with our age and concrete floors he needed something to soften the long hours of standing. was going to use one in the kitchen but he enjoyed his so much I gave mine up to him. nothing like a happy woodworker!
I would buy this product again.
To sand on for a long time.
Very Nice Floor Mats
Very nice floor mats. I bought two and wish I would have bought 3. I use mine for my lathe and my workbench. I stand at my lathe for hours and the mats make a very noticable difference in relieving back strain. I highly recommend these mats but buy 3 and save the money.
My feet are laughing and dancing
I was standing on a concrete floor and my feet just couldn't take it anymore. What a blessing this mat is. So very comfortable to stand on and move back and forth at the workbench. I can't speak for other reviews but the first thing I did after opening the box was to smell the mat; NO ODOR. Maybe since those reviews about the smell the manufactuer has changed some of the chemicals.
Bad Smell but disapates
I have 4 of these mats now in my shop, I love them. They are extremely comfortable to stand on. They are so soft that you'll leave impressions in them where you're standing. The impression go away shortly. Sort of like those memory foam mattresses. They are awesome to neal on too. I have bad knees and I typically can't neal down at all. But with one of these under my knees, nealing is a no pain affair. There is a horible smell to them when you first get them but it does goes away. I think it took about 2 weeks for the smell to fully disapate in mine. Probably a good thing to leave them outside or in the garage for a couple of weeks to "air out" befor moving them into the shop. I hung mine over the deck rail for a couple of days. I'm more than willing to put up with a little temporary "stink" for the comfort that they offer my feet and back. Two negitive thing to say about the mats, other then the smell that is, is that it can be very difficult to move anything with casters over the mats. They are so soft that they tend to "grab" a hold of the wheels making it difficult to move equipment. The second, the hound thinks that I bought them for her to lay on while we're in the shop. I have to keep nugging her out of the way. lol
Can't get past the smell!
I bought 2 of these mats for my shop a week ago. They have such a horrible chemical smell that I have not been able to use them, they have been airing out on my sun room since I opened them. The smell doesn't seem to have dissipated one bit - my wife and I hold our breath if we need to go through the sun room! These are definitely going back!
Works as advertised and does not smell
Seems to be a great product in fact I just ordered another one for another well used work station in my shop. I'm a big guy and it provides good cushioning. A real plus is it doesn't smell up your shop with that untamed rubber smell common to many rubber products. The only suggestion I have is to make it in a sawdust color :-)
These mats are great on my concrete garage floor. Standing for hours at the workbench really tired my legs, but these mats solved that problem.
Excellent value - well worth more money!
These are great floor pads for the money - not as thick as the ones that cost about 5 to 6 times as much, but thick enough to be very comfortable to stand on. I bought six of them - and half were taken by my wife to use in the kitchen! What does that tell you?
Great Product for my dock!
I bought this mat to use on my dock while getting in and out of my boat - works great! Nice padding and weathers just fine.
A Good Buy
I work for 6-9 hrs per day in the shop. The floors are concrete and cause me back pain. These mats now allow me to get through a long day w/ minimal back pain.
My feet say 'Thank You!'
Such a small thing, but it helps tremendously. I used to use an old piece of carpet in front of my workbench, but the fibers trapped sawdust, etc. These are easy to clean and much more comfortable.
good mats_great price.
these mats are great cushioning for the price. [...]
I bought 6 for my work shop. Wish I would have done this years ago.
A good product that saves your legs.
I now have seven floor mats in my shop and wouldn't do without them. My legs and back greatly appreciate the added support of the mats. They are soft enough to provide good comfort and durable enough to survive my woodworking shop environment. I think they are also a good value.
