Akro-Mils Versa/Deck "D" 3 Open Straight Bars, 24" x 48" with 8" Mold-On Rubber Casters

The VERSA/Deck from Akro-Mils is a great way to move heavy items around your shop. This configuration would be perfect for moving sheet goods as it has three open straight handles running down the length of the deck. You could place sheets vertically and carry multiples easily. Its deck is constructed of HDPE molded, non-skid structural foam which is extremely easy to clean, and it won’t rot, chip, or rust. Jam bolts, standard on all models, hold handles in place. There are four handy tie down slots to help secure items during transport (tie downs sold separately). This versatile material mover features steel reinforcements under its 24” x 48” deck for added strength.

This model features a 3 open straight handle and 8” mold on rubber casters. Mold on rubber casters are great for use on concrete floors, asphalt, brick, and ceramic tile, but not carpet; and they’re only ok on steel grating. They can handle wet or slippery conditions, though there are better options available, but are not recommended for use around chemicals. Blue elastic casters are the best option, though, if you’re looking to cushion the load and minimize noise levels. They can handle a lot of weight, as well. Maximum weight capacity for this setup is 2200 lbs. (based on evenly distributed loads on all four casters).
