    Details

Our first offering from Florip Toolworks is a 9" Dovetail Saw with a cherry handle. Overall length is approximately 14", depth of cut is 1-5/8", and the fine-toothed 9" rip blade is 16 TPI.  Other features include folded solid brass spine and solid brass furniture. The saw behaved well in starting a cut and following a line, leaving a smooth finish.

Every piece of every Florip saw is made in-house. All heat treating, blade tensioning, CNC machining and hand sharpening are done by owner Eric Florip or under his watchful eye. Every saw.

Florip became interested in saws when he decided to hand-cut joints. Unable to afford a saw, he picked up an old saw and rehabilitated it. That led to a passion for making high quality handsaws at an affordable price and eventually, after service in the US Marine Corps, to his own company.
