Best none talking helper!!!
First time ever installing crown molding and this tool was a lifesaver. Working alone and installing crown can be a real chore. Two of the 3rd hand tools were a winning ticket.

3rd Hand is well worth the money
I had one of these and have used it many times to help me do things I otherwise would not be able to do such as hold up a ceiling joist while I fastened it to the rafters and walls in my shed. Recently I found that one was not enough for some tough jobs, and I am about to put up a ceiling in my basement, so I thought it would be a good investment to have another one. It has already come in handy clamping a door glue-up by pressing a stubborn warped piece of plywood into another one against the floor. The two 3rd hands are acting as spreader clamps from the ceiling joists to the panels on the floor. The weights I was using were not doing the job. I'm sure they will help when I start putting built-in cabinets in as well.

3rd hand works well
There is a "learning curve" relative to positioning and adjustment , but once you get the "hang" of it , it is a big help when you need another "hand".

A MUST HAVE FOR PROFESSIONALS & DIY-ERS
I bought my husband 2 of everything because I can't always help with projects. The carrying cases are fantastic, keeps everything together and easy to store and transport. These things make an absolute snap out of hanging drywall on ceilings, crown moldings and even cabinet making. Best purchase I've made in a long time. Highly recommend!

Very Useful
Just used four of these to put up 64 l.f. of crown moulding, including several 16 ft runs, all single-handedly. Very useful, overall. Have also used these to help mount upper cabinets as well. I used the optional Bigfoot attachments to enhance the grip of the bottom of each of the 3rd Hand poles. When they were tensioned in place, they worked perfectly. However, the Bigfoot attachments tended to come loose from the bottom of the 3rd Hand every time I moved it. Optional dust barrier attachments are also available. Basically, these are plastic fittings with a metal circle embedded in the center of the fitting. The fitting attaches to the end of the 3rd Hand, and a plastic barrier may be held in place by sandwiching said plastic barrier between the fitting and a magnet (included).
