All Nova chucks have jaws specifically designed for woodturning uses. The jaws cut into and grip the wood firmly. Full gripping power is available in both expansion and contraction modes.
Lathe Type- Standard Nova-May be used on smaller lathes, but is most suitable for those with at least 12” to 16” swing over the bed.

Lathe Type- SuperNova-Designed for power woodworking on lathes from 16” to 20” swing over the bed. They can also be used on mid range lathes, if Nova Chuck project size is not exceeded.
Operating Action- One hand, tilt-away lever. Geared action is slower than others, but very powerful.
Gripping Action- Expansion mode (into recess) and contraction mode (for both squares and rounds).
Maximum Project Bowl Size- Up to 29” diameter bowls (using either Powergrip or 130 mm jaws).
Maximum Project Spigot Length- Up to 19” (using Power Grip Jaws).
Threads Covered- Fits wide range of lathes using insert system and some direct threaded.
