This JessEm Mite-R-Excel II is one of the nicest I've ever used. They took their fantastic Mite-R-Excel and made it even better!! The heavy duty, all aluminum design is factory squared so all you have to do is put it together and make sure the miter bar is snug in your saws miter slot. The fence is 20" in length but has a telescoping extrusion that extends the fence up to 36". The flip stop is adjustable and can be used with the fence as is or with a sacrificial face up to 3/4" thick.
The miter gauge features 9 indents paired with a spring loaded indexing pins to accurately set it to the most used miter angles. When you're making an angled cut you may have to adjust the fence so that it doesn't come into contact with the blade. With the patent pending fence locating knob it's quick and easy to reset the fence back to the correct distance from the blade.
