description is WRONG, expect 3 inches
bought a set of both the 1/2 and the 3/8 th extensions, both of them say it extends the bit by 4 inches. this is WRONG. the overall length is 4 inches. it extends the bit reach by 3 inches other than that it appears to be of good quality, ps woodcraft doesnt offer a 6 inch and the 10 inch is too overextended for my app.

It works!
I needed a very stable, secure grip onto bits used to drill out for a pepper mill. This extension worked perfectly.

Built right and bores / drills true
Allows me to drill / bore larger peppermill blanks with the 4" extension 1/2 inch shanked Forstner bits. Also makes the boring of coffee mug blanks (for go-cup insert) a snap.
