Peroba Rosa, (Aspidosperma polyneuron) is native to South America, primarily Brazil and Argentina. Heartwood color ranges from yellow to pinkish red, sometimes with darker streaks of purple or brown; color tends to darken with age. Grain is straight to slightly irregular or interlocked, with a fine texture which polishes to a moderate natural luster. Peroba Rosa works easily, glues and finishes well and has a sweet & subtle fragrance. Common uses are veneer, cabinetry, turned objects, and beekeeping. Slab measures 1-1/4" x 20-1/2" x 44" and has been surfaced on both sides.
