Ninety years ago Woodcraft became part of the young woodworking industry, and Chevrolet introduced an improved, forward-looking version of its 1927 AA Capitol Pickup Truck. The Woodcraft 1928 Chevy Truck Die-Cast Bank celebrates both of these nearly century-old retail milestones. Its design is reminiscent of the 4-cycle 1928 Chevrolet National AB Pickup that featured 4-wheel mechanical brakes and an increased length (107" wheelbase) to make room for the 6-cycle engines already in the planning stages. It cost between $495 and $715, depending on extras a customer wanted, and 785,199 of them were sold.

Our Woodcraft Green truck bank arrives with a load of lumber in back and a red toolbox (which doubles as the coin drop) perched on top. It comes with a key and trap door on the undercarriage so you can get your money out without breaking the bank. Give this classic as a gift to a young or “young at heart” woodworker, or just keep it for your own pocket change.
