The Wakizashi Chisel is designed well for its intended purpose – building construction. It features a thicker blade, more robust shank with a beefier handle, heavier ferrules at both ends and a favorite of the workmen – a “migaki” or polished finish. Master Akio Tasai forge-welded the finest Aogami 2 blue steel to softer iron for strength and shock absorption to make the chisel, which he then hammered, ground and finished out with a two-hollow back and a strong White Oak handle. Comes with a leather carry pouch secured at the waist with a belt or sash.
