    Great blade

Excellent performance right out of the package, even better once it is honed. Only needed to hone it for a couple mins and it was ready. What an improvement over the original blade that was in there.

    My mistake, it didn't fit.

I bought two and didn't go out to the shop and look at the two planes that I wanted to upgrade. I actually put one in and made a few passes on a piece of oak. It was considerably more solid, but a bit too narrow, for the newly restored Stanley-Bailey No. 4. Right out of the package, it managed to cut a nice paper thin curl. I emailed Woodcraft, told them I had ordered the wrong irons. They graciously took them back for a refund...including the slightly used one. Now I can order the right ones. I am impressed with the product and the company. Thank you.

    Works great

This is the 0.095" thick replacement - similar to the Hock, LN or LV Stanley replacement. Easier to set up than Hock and a little more work than the LV. Has held a very good edge while smoothing hard maple. Very big improvement vs a Type 11 laminated blade. Highly recommended.

    Great Blade

Great blade, thick and strong, cuts was excellent out of the package with no honing. Would reccomend the matching set of both blade and chipbreaker. I am sure it would work even better with the matching chip breaker.
