Great for a small shop
I have a small shop. Permanently connected to my SawStop, but have ports available to connect to my Router table, planer, bandsaw and jointer. Just have to juggle the ducts/tubing. Great improvement over a shop vac. Yes you can assemble with the intake coming from below the fan, or above. Your choice. Physical size just perfect, and Dust collection and noise both greatly improved.

Decent
Nice unit, but i wish inlet port was better designed for airflow. Why does a 1hp unit have a inlet facing up?

Spend a little more for better quality
Have had the same problem. Dust constantly coming out from seems of motor housing and added issue of intake tube clogging once and awhile just before the motor. Only run a table saw and Dewalt Planer with dust separator to the unit. Does the job but for the money shouldn't have these problems.

Disappointed
Product seemed to be very high quality and sturdy but was disappointed to find air leaking from where the motor mounted to the unit. Emailed customer service and was told "sorry, shouldn't be leaking air, take it apart and put silicon caulking around it". Expected much better quality given the price. Hopefully an anomaly but expected better.
