HIGHPOINT® Side Rail Hinges are machined from thick solid brass, polished and coated with gold tinting. A final epoxy coating is added to ensure that the hinges will stay bright and beautiful for years to come. Side Rail Hinges are machined from 7/64" thick brass and are 5/16" wide and 1-1/2" long. They stop at 90° and are designed for medium-duty applications. Hinges mount with #2, 3/8" brass plated steel screws (included), which are coated with the same finish as the hinges. Measure hinges carefully prior to cutting mortise.

How to Install a Side Rail Hinge from Highpoint

Box-building is rewarding, but nerve-wracking. Nice hinge

This was my second time using this hinge. Easy installation once you have the router table set up correctly. Test fit in scraps of the same material you are using for the project. Will purchase again.

a solid and beautiful product

I used these for the first time recently when making a tea box, and they worked out great. It was my first time installing this type of hinge, and the instructions on the Woodcraft website (not included with the hinges) were an enormous help in getting them in cleanly.
