Probably A Good Dado Set, But Do Buy This For A Sawstop Saw

This dado saw set will trip the dado brake on a Sawstop saw due to insufficient clearance between the oversized blade and the brake metal surface. This happened to me. I did not realize that this is an oversized blade set, which is not compatible with Sawstop table saws. However, if you have a table saw other than Sawstop, it is a good dado set at a reasonable price.

    Excellent

Fantastic dado set. If your buying your first dado, invest in your workshop and buy this one.

    as advertised

I have an older dado set w/2 tooth chippers. The freud dado w/4 tooth carbide chippers has it all over the the older model!

    First and Last Dado Set

I received this stack dado set for Christmas. Before, I have always used the blade that came with my table saw and didn't see an urgent need to replace it. However, now that I have used such a high quality blade, I am saving up for a Freud Fusion blade. This dado set cut perfectly smooth walled dados every time with no tear out and super smooth bottoms. I was blown away by how easy it was to get great dados using this set. I am buying only Freud blades and bits from now on.

    I would if I could, but I can't

I bought the dado blade in the anticipation of the construction of a cherry book case. The project is on hold for a month--the blade is still in the box---so sad---when I get it out and us it I'll let you know how it performs-----

    Dandy Dados!

First experience with a quality dado setup, results were excellent on 3/4" birch plywood. As advertised, no tearout, no chipping, nice clean bottom cut. Dado stack setup for the ply was tedious (actually needed 27/32" stack + .016" in shims) but once there, the cut was sweet.

Great blade, the carrying case is junk.

This blade is a great product, with the proper care it should last forever, however the case should be replaced for everyone that has purchased the blade. For this kind of money, you would think it would have a better case.

    A first class tool

This was bought to replace a 6 inch dado set. Being a Freud, I expected it to be the best and it is. Easily worth the money. I would recommend it to anyone who needs a tool that will operate under varying conditions. I love it!

You can pay more but you won't find better.
