The EMV Mechanics' Vise is a high quality cast iron vise capable of generating up to 8,800 lbf. (4000 Kgf) clamping force depending on the size for general metal working applications. Body and sliding jaw are manufactured from high quality gray cast iron, for its excellent shock absorbing qualities. For added safety, the tommy bar will bend before the vise becomes over-stressed. Tommy bar and main screw are manufactured from steel. Hardened steel replaceable jaw plates. Slide is precision milled to a high tolerance for a fast, smooth operation. Base has fixing holes for bench mounting. Grips, swivel bases and spare jaw plates are available as accessories.
