      First piece of furniture

I built this chair over 20 years ago. Followed the plans religiously. I made it out of cherry and put leather covers on my cushions. I am an amateur self-trained woodworker and when I tell people about the chair they invariably ask, "how did it turn out?" My answer is that my wife put it in the living room. There is not a bit of metal in its construction and after more than 20 years of daily use it is still solid as a rock. No creaks or groans when you sit down.

Good design but made some changes

The only thing i was not happy with in the plans was having to cut small spacer blocks, not happening in my shop, so I redesigned to use mortise and tendon joints. the Cut diagram would have been nice to have for each set on parts as you build it. Also raised the seat height for better comfort and thicker seat foam.
