Many woodworking operations require temporarily fastening things together in a way that allows harm-free detachment. That’s where pressure sensitive double-faced tape rolls to the rescue. You can use it to attach templates to workpieces for pattern-routing and to secure workpieces to jigs and fixtures. It’s a great way to temporarily affix auxiliary faces, stop blocks, and hold-downs onto fences and machine tables. Have a lot of identical parts to bandsaw? Tape them together and gang-saw them. Hold your turning blanks firmly to your faceplate without marring your work or leaving screw holes.
Features:
  • Strong enough to hold multiple pieces while sawing
  • Thin enough that it does not clog or dull cutting blades
  • Far less messy than liquid and spray adhesives
  • Super-strong tape
Specifications:
  • Pressure sensitive, cloth-backed, double-sided adhesive tape
  • 1" wide by 36 yards long
  • Similar thickness to masking tape
  • Oil-resistant
Product Notes:
  • Double-sided adhesive tapes perform best when applied to a dry surface that is both smooth and flat.

    Good product worked well

I used this product to turn a baseball bat that was split in half and mount on a baby boy's bedroom wall as part of a baseball theme. The product held the two pieces together very securely during the turning of the project.

    It Holds

I use to use double stick carpet tape, the 2" stuff, but they changed the way it is manufactured and the new stuff doesn't work for the shop. This Double-Faced Tape does the job just fine. It is a little expensive, but I found out a little goes a long ways and it holds my pattern to the work piece. It is easy to remove and doesn't leave any sticky stuff on the board.

    The good stuff

I have been looking for some good two sided tape. This stuff works like correctly, holding the wood without movement.

    It's worth a try

I used this on the lathe holding the wood. It holds the wood on the lathe, but make sure you put pressure on the item before starting to cut. I put pressure by moving the arm of lathe to the center of the wood, and torqued it a bit with the spindle head.
