The 8" length is great for both long and short knives providing cutting edge performance for a quick, keen edge on small contact areas and pointed tools. Extra-extra fine diamond (3 micron/8000 mesh) to polish to the finest edge. This continuous diamond surface stone provides a cutting edge performance and is recognized for superior quality. Sharpening with diamonds is fast and easy. No oil is needed. You can sharpen dry or with water.

    All I can say is, WOW!

    If you think you get your chisels and plane irons sharp now, wait until you use this stone! A few laps and my chisels cut like high quality surgical knives, instead of butter knives. Even my box store Buck chisels cut 100% better after a short treatment on this stone. And, it is definitely durable, won't shatter or wear like actual sharpening stones.

    Excellent final honing

    I am extremely pleased with this product. Very high quality and produces the extraordinarily sharp edge we all want. Large and wide enough for the biggest blades, including my Lie-Nielson large cabinet scraper. Can use to restore the secondary bevel. Removes material quickly and cleans up easily. This stone will help to move your wood working up another level.
