Large 2" to 2-7/16" capacity on all models will handle most size requirements. Drill guide centers are hardened, guide holes are precision drilled and reamed for extreme accuracy. USA.
The Deluxe Doweling Jig features two permanent drill hole sizes: 7/16" and 1/2" and six removable screw-in bushings for extra hole patterns. Bushing sizes are 1/4", 5/16", 3/8" (two of each). Allows drilling of two holes of the same size parallel to one another for double dowel applications on a 3/4" center to center space.

Well worth the money.
This is by far better than the foreign made jig I had bought. Well worth the money. Handle is a little on the short side, but nothing that a small box end wrench (used for leverage) can't handle.

Excellent product
As a novice I first used this jig to piece together a tabletop...30 dowels, 60 holes, no problem. One thing the jig does not prevent...lining up on the wrong mark...make that 61 holes.

A great tool!
Great tool, and proudly made in the USA. It is very well designed and constructed. And it is easy to use. I used it for joining rail and stile in a panel door, and also for making a large cutting board. The only reason for not giving it 5 stars is because lining up the line on the drill guide is challenging on thicker stock (approaching 2 inches).

I would buy this product again
The only problem I see with it is only two of the holes are threaded. If you want a larger spread between dowels you have to move the jig. The threaded holes are about one inch apart.

Great Jig
The longer I woodwork, the lazier I get. I got this orginally for alignment of butt joints. I had a homemade jig, but was difficult to use on pieces longer than 3 feet. I got this to do some tabletops, but now use it for any joint that is not seen. I built a cabinet with drawers and instead of rabbeting the backs, I just used this; no loose or tight drawers. The jig is well built, accurate out of the box. The younger me would hate it because I didn't spend hours setting up a complicated joint, but I really wish this would have been one of the first jigs I bought. I took a rubber hammer to a test piece and the middles broke before the joint did.

Deluxe Doweling Jig, mostly pro, one con
The jig did the job well. It was sturdy & accurate and easy to align. The threaded areas were not well tapped. Only one receptacle would accept the threaded sleeve. I will need to fix this.

I love this purchase. I'll probably be using dowels more often now that I can get them perfect. This device is well made and really easy to use.

Versatile Product
I rarely use dowels when building furniture - which is the bulk of my woodworking efforts, but this jig is exceptional in its self centering capabilities. When making the rails to a four posted bed, I used this jig to bore holes in the end of the rails for the bed bolts - worked perfectly. Not only were the holes centered accurately, but the resulting holes were straight and true - much better than using my usual home-made jigs.
