All cracked up
The wood had deep checks on both ends. The blank had been dipped in something, but there did not appear to be any wax on the ends. One top surface had checks the full length. I haven't turned the peice yet so I can't tell if the checks will turn off. I don't know if this is the nature of this wood or I got an unusual peice. I would buy this wood again, at a store where I could see it first.
