Designed for pocket-hole systems, KREG pocket-hole screws increase the strength of a pocket-hole joint. Cut-thread pattern prevents splitting. #7 x 1" panhead screws have coarse threads that are recommended for use with softwoods like cedar, pine, and fir that are soft and not very dense, as well as for sheet goods such as plywood and MDF. Coarse threads are deep, aggressive threads that bite into those soft fibers to ensure solid holding power. Panhead screws are perfect for narrow frames and for 1/2"-thick stock. Their smaller shank reduces the chance of splitting, and the smaller head allows them to fit places where space is limited.
