Our 5¼˝ Double Edge Saw (Ryoba Noko Giri) is made by the Hishiki Saw factory using traditional techniques which include hand tempering, hand correction of blade warping and hand adjusting the blade thickness to 0.012˝. The kerf width is 0.016˝ The blade is forged from white steel and tempered to Rc 55. The teeth are carefully hand set for correct cutting. It has 26 tpi on the crosscut side and 13 tpi on the rip side. Blade length is 5¼˝ and overall length is 14¾˝. This is a beautifully hand made saw intended for small work.
