After a couple of shoulder surgeries, I found myself with several hook-and-loop (e.g. Velcro®) straps that had been used to attach various therapeutic supports. I wanted to use them in some way, and realized that they would make great hangers for cords and other such items. All I had to do was attach a grommet to the end of a strap using a grommet installation kit, which can be had for less than $10. A strapped cord can then be neatly carried and hung anywhere you install a screw.
