Woodcraft Is Now a Full-Line Dealer for Easy Wood Tools

The complete line of Easy Wood Tools is now available at Woodcraft Supply through retail stores, in the catalog and at woodcraft.com.

“Woodcraft is pleased to be able to offer our customers a full selection of high quality Easy Wood Tools,” product development manager Ben Bice said.  “As the one-stop shopping location for Easy Wood Tools, customers will find turning, hollowing and parting tools, tools for beginners, replacement carbide cutters, chucks and accessories, faceplates, and chip deflectors – everything they need for woodturning.”

The Mid Size Easy Rougher (pictured above left) features the optional 3/8″ Lexan chip deflector to keep wood shavings away from the body and onto the floor.  Easy Wood’s Mid Size Detailer (below left) comes in and does the small, intricate work after the Rougher takes away larger amounts of wood.

Based in Lexington, Kentucky, Easy Wood Tools began manufacturing turning tools in 2008 – tools developed by president and founder Craig Jackson.  An avid woodturner who disliked the amount of time required for sharpening, Jackson designed a line of replaceable carbide cutters engineered for the unique needs of woodturning.

“These popular turning tools feature carbide cutters that increase conventional turning time by 20 hours and provide a fresh edge with a simple turn,” Bice said.  “Easily replaceable cutters eliminate sharpening.  The Easy Wood Tool design also reduces fatigue and eliminates the need to ‘find the bevel.’  The turner can just advance the tool slowly into the workpiece and then begin cutting straight in or sweeping to the side.”
