Turn for Troops is BACK!

What a Weekend!  We turned over 100 pens just this weekend :)

In 2007 the San Carlos Woodcraft store turned in almost 1,000 pens.  In 2008 it was over 1,200 pens for this great program.  The final numbers are still coming in for 2009, but we are looking strong to meet our number for 2008!

 

The Turn for Troops program was started by Woodcraft over 6 years ago and in that time, as a company, we have sent over 60,000 pens to the military folks in the Iraq and Afghanistan theater.  They then use these pens to write home with.  It's a great program to show our troops that we are thinking of them.  Won't you come in and spend 15 minutes to turn a pen that that soldier will treasure?

 

Our Local High Schools Are At It Again Too :)

 

As of 11/9 these schools have produced pens:

Gunderson HS, San Jose       350 pens

Monte Vista HS, Cupertino      359 pens

Sequoia HS, Redwood City   352 pens
