Vase Turning
with Jesse HornSaturday, May 18, 9 AM - 4 PM
This class is designed to enhance your turning skills, hollowing skills, and tool sharpening skills. The class will begin with Jesse providing safety tips and a quick recap of woodturning 101. This will lead into Jesse demonstrating how to properly sharpen a turning tool using the Wolverine Sharpening Jig. Each student will be taught the step-by-step procedures for forming and hollowing a small vase. You will be provided with the opportunity to finish your small vase using a lacquer finish (which will be furnished). The class will be using wood at the instructor’s choice. Whenever woodturning, it is always advisable to use a dust mask and face protection. Please bring your tools to class. You should leave the classroom with a beautiful Vase. All wood will be provided by the instructor.
