Build An End-Grain Cutting Board

Part 1: Monday, May 11, 2026, 6 PM - 10 PM

HANDS-ON. We have a GREAT KITCHEN CLASS from Doug Jones. Students will build, over the three nights, an End-Grain style Cutting Board from two contrasting types of wood. This 12" X 18" Cutting Board will be constructed from "End-Grain", not the Long-Grain of the boards. This traditional method of building a Cutting Board makes it VERY DURABLE. It will takes cuts from a knife and not show any damage for many years to come. Doug is a great woodworker and his hands-on approach to teaching will help you learn all the tricks for End-Grain cutting and glue-up. Router Basics

Part 1: Thursday, May 14, 2026, 6 PM - 10 PM

HANDS-ON. We have a great class that will teach all the ins-and-outs of how to use your Router. Both Router table work and hand-held Router work will be covered. Students will get hands-on experience and build a small storage box during this informative class. You will learn different techniques of cut, fence and miter gauge work, Router bit selection and basic Router safety. Cutting dados, rabbets, slots, mitered corners and edge trim will be easy. Basic Woodworking

HANDS-ON. OUR MOST POPULAR CLASS!! ADULTS ONLY - NO YOUTH - 18 YEARS AND OLDER. This foundation course introduces you to the wonderful world of woodworking. You will learn how to set alignment and use the chop saw, table saw, jointer, planner, band saw, router table and a stationary sander. Safety will be emphasized with each machine. Each student will complete a hands-on project using basic joinery techniques. Types of wood and finishing techniques will also be discussed.
